Yesterday, Toddlers really enjoyed creating their own ‘Shape/Colour’ trains. Can you make a train at home? Add 4-5 different carriages and paint them different colours. Cut out a series of shapes that match these colours e.g Red Circles, Blue Squares etc. Match them up to the correct carriages and practice your shape and colour recogniton.

Yesterday, Babies enjoyed exploring Gingerbread Playdough yesterday. Can you make your own sensory playdough at home? Use 2 cups flour, 1 cup water, 1tbsp oil and add different spices to explore different smells.

At nursery we have been learning all about different transport, here are some activities you could try at home:

– Make your own boat that floats in water, explore different materials that you could use.
– Paint your own transport craft.
– Make your own 3D transport using cardboard boxes.
– Use a series of cut out shapes to make a train, boat, car etc.
– Use toys cars/transport to make marks in paint.
– Can you research some new names of transport such as Yacht, Excavator etc. Which transport do you like the best?
– Organise the transport into Air, Sea and Land.
– Go on a daily walk and see what different types of vehicles you can see. Can you write a list of the ones you saw?
