Today’s daily challenge theme is ‘Under the Sea’:

1. Can you read some stories that are set in the ocean? Commotion in the ocean, the rainbow fish, sharing a shell are some examples. You can find these on YouTube if you do not have them at home. Talk about the creatures found under the sea.

2. Can you choose one of the sea creatures from the story and create your own sea creature?

3. Research what animals live under the sea – create your own poster, labelling the animals.

4. Create your own number octopus – make an octopus and add 8 tentacles with numbers 1-8 written on them. Add sequins, Pom poms, Cheerios or stones on to the tentacles to represent the numbers. Count each one out as you do it.

5. Make your own sensory sea foam to explore. Recipe can be found here https://www.google.co.uk/…/2016/05/02/sea-foam-sensory…/amp/

6. Create your own shark out of a cardboard box with his mouth cut out. Make some fish, add shapes, colours or numbers depending on what you’d like to support your child with. Encourage them to feed the different fish to the shark. For example, “Can you find the red fish?” “Can you find the fish with a circle on?”

7. Choose a sea creature of your choice and make your own fact file – what do they eat? What features do they have?

8. Can you create your own rainbow fish craft?

9. Have a go at cutting out a fish shape out of tin foil. Stick it onto cardboard and decorate it!
