Reception to Year 6

The most important element of Main School education is that our pupils gain confidence and take pride in their ability to learn. To that end, each child is continually and individually assessed so that their workload can be adjusted according to their needs.

The core subjects - Mathematics and English - are supplemented in the first years by History, Geography, Science, Art, Design and Technology, Religious Education, Physical Education and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development. Information and Communication Technology is taught in a dedicated and well-appointed computer suite. French is taught to children when they reach the age of 7 years.

Whilst the requirements of the National Curriculum are met, the importance of good examination results is recognised. Our pupils frequently win places at leading secondary schools, both grammar and independent.
