Wider Community

We firmly believe in the importance of nurturing a sense of belonging within, and responsibility towards, the community at large. The school is a member of the Eco-Schools Award Scheme, and the children show great enthusiasm in caring for the world’s resources through recycling and the conservation of power and water.

The children also raise substantial amounts of money for national and international charities through activities which range from cake sales and non-uniform days to sponsored events and competitions. There are regular visits to local sites of interest and further afield, such as the Isle of Wight and France, where we have links with a french school.
