Performing Arts

Performing Arts is a highly valued area at Norfolk House School. Whilst each child is given an opportunity to learn at least one musical instrument (the recorder) with a music specialist teacher at school, we also offer a range of extra-curricular tuition weekly sessions with peripatetic staff in piano, guitar and violin from Year 2 upwards.  More information is available upon request.  To showcase their talents, our musicians perform in assemblies and at regular concerts.  A weekly choir also runs and pupils perform publicly.

In addition to annual theatre trips, we also offer regular drama workshops as well as the highly-popular Speech and Elocution sessions for pupils in Years 1 to 6 which leads to participation in LAMDA examinations and the Dudley Festival of Drama and Dance.  We are very proud of our attainment in these areas, with a significant number of pupils participating in the extra-curricular sessions and achieving a high percentage of Distinction awards.
