Norfolk House School is an independent school in Birmingham for boys and girls between 3 and 11 years of age. The school occupies a large and beautiful period house which retains much of its original homely atmosphere. It is located on the elegant and leafy Calthorpe Estate, just a few minutes drive from Birmingham city centre. We limit our intake for an optimum school roll, ensuring that class numbers are small enough to allow close personal attention to be given to each and every pupil. An approach which is reflected in our excellent exam results.

Norfolk House Nursery opened its doors in September 2009. It occupies a spacious and lovingly restored Victorian house adjacent to Norfolk House School, and provides full time and sessional day care for a maximum of 52 children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years. We firmly believe that a nursery should provide much more than a child minding service. Children are learning all the time. We regard it as our duty to provide them with the fullest possible opportunity to learn and develop in a relaxed but purposeful environment.

Each November the Sunday Times produces a list of the top independent preparatory schools in the country. In November 2011 Norfolk House was ranked 54th in the list. That ranking placed it above all other listed schools of its kind in the city of Birmingham – a position which it has held for five of the last six years.
